| The student artists who have participated have reiterated the fact that this was not just another art contest. It was a unique opportunity for Final year students of Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) to be associated and recognized by the United Nations systems and its partners. All jury members went through the corpus of paintings three times over to choose the 55 short-listed works. The works were representative of all styles and regions.

The jury shortlisted three paintings for the first, second and third prize and three paintings were selected for special jury mention award.

|
The felicitation of the award winners will be done at 7:00 pm on February 20, 2009 at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi
|
|
|
The award ceremony will be followed by an Exhibition from February 21-26,2009 at Convention Foyer, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi
